There should be no sex offender registry because they should not be alive. If you abuse/harm children, animals, the disabled, or the elderly you should be executed. If you do any of those things it is proof that you have no redeeming qualities about yourself and instead of incarcerating you for 20 years to life you should be six feet under where you can no longer harm innocent people in society.
My point was not in supporting the current punishments for sex abusers but in pointing out that getting out of prison for a sex abuse conviction isn’t the end of the punishment. “Doing their time” in a prison isn’t all the punishment. The punishment continues by being placed on a sex offender’s registry list and keeping the system informed of your address every time you should move.

Most people who harm animals also harm children. The link between animal abuse and child/elderly/disabled abuse is stunning. My father was a state trooper(1975-2005) and in almost every case of child abuse/molestation/rape the offender he arrested also had previous convictions for abusing animals, the elderly, the disabled, or had committed felonious assault against a family member. The gas chamber would be an appropriate form of execution.
