The bioweapon part was almost certainly propaganda, but there almost certainly was some shadowy shit going on in these microbiological laboratories – probably stuff akin to Gain-of-Function research or reasearch on zoonotic diseases to destroy food production in a hostile country, and I would honestly not to a100 % rule out that these labs were trying to create more dangerous versions of common diseases for use as bioweapons much further down the line. While it is certainly possible that the bio-lab info is a Russian psy-op, there is video of Under Secretary of State stating that the Ukrainian forces are in the process of destroying bio-labs to keep them from falling into Russian hands. There isn’t much reason to do that if they are medical research bio-labs and not bio-labs for weapons research.
When I was in the Marines we were among the first to test the Javeline missile system which replaced the wire-guided Dragon missile. It was Texas Instruments who developed it and it was tested out at an army base in northern California. KInd of an interesting piece of history now that we hear so much about them.

The Saudis can only increase oil production a certain amount in a short period of time. Increasing it significantly would require billions of dollars in investment in new rigs, refineries, etc. And they don’t want to do that when the west is forcing through a massive switch to renewable energy that’s going to make all their oil infrastructure worthless over the next fifteen years. Economists have spent the last fifty years telling the Arab countries to move away from dependence on oil and now suddenly western governments are asking them to invest tens of billions more in it.

The Ukrainian Army is gradually being pushed back, wound down, and destroyed. The Russians have been encircling the Ukrainian troops in their major cities, where they’re entrenched, and pushing there way through the Ukrainian countryside. I’d expect three weeks until the Ukrainian army is destroyed entirely.

Striker is right about the fact that the sanctions won’t hurt the Russian economy, the Russians have literally been spending the last eight years preparing for them since they were sanctioned the first time in 2014. If anything the sanctions will be good for the Russian economy. The sanctions are forcing the Russians to invest in domestic industries, and they’re forcing western companies to divest from Russia, which means selling their assets in Russia back to Russians are a fraction of their actual cost.
not to mention, China and India, who are much greater trade partners to the Russians, are not gonna budge. I believe Russia gets most of its beef from India, for example.
Sanctions would be good for the West too, if any of our elietes at all considered our nations as something other than carrion to pick over.
