My Iraq war support was in phases. At first it was pro-war because Saddam bad and WMDs. After that, I started to cope for post-MISSION ACCOMPLISHED casualties with “It’s just Saddam loyalists, real Iraqis want us there” Then once WMDs didn’t pan out, I was pro-war because Saddam still bad because muh freedom. Following Saddam’s capture, it was “Well, um…these insurgent terrorists aren’t even Iraqi, they’re Libyans and Syrians and Jordanian foreign fighters, we need to fight them there instead of over here…most Iraqis want us there” When Fallujah kicked-off in 2004, I started the “IT’S THE IRANIANS!” cope because… Read more »
