I was referring to Charger technology when talking about Current Drivers. And they exist. The circuitry outputs a certain current and charging happens faster.
And I meant that gas powered equipment can be considered more efficient, if you consider ALL the inputs needed to charge that extremely efficient battery powering an extremely efficient electric motor.

I agree in principle, but we are not going to get off fossil fuels anytime soon. Sure, your lawnmower and your car can be electric, but can a plane? Costs, production time, infrastructure and performance issues mean that it’s going to take time until every car and truck on the road is electric. Lithium, which is required for batteries that are even usable, will only continue to get scarcer and more expensive. Eventually everything will be electric, but in the short term things like long range flights on planes and range extenders on heavy haul vehicles can be easily powered by hydrogen, ethanol, biogas, or something else. We will literally have billions of gallons of ethanol on hand if all the cars switch over to electric. It is totally doable.
