Man, I remembering playing Warcraft 3 on my overclocked athlon 64 with GeForce 4. I even opened the case and “Gamer Word Rigged TM” a box fan to avoid over heating. Halcyon days.
Diablo 3 was one of the best selling games of all time oddly enough, Wikipedia has it a 20 million, with Diablo 2 at 4 million, personally I thought the expansion was really good.
If you want a good WH40k turn based strategy I think the best you have right now is the game Gladius, great game that’s pretty cheap when it’s on sale. It’s best enjoyed with a group of 4+ friends though, either all doing a free for all or all teaming up and trying to fight vs a horde of AI.
The old dawn of wars were/are good of course. It’s too bad 3 flopped so hard, lack of a cover system killed it for me. idk 40k games just seem cursed, but hopefully Darktide will be an exception.
Active gamer here, might not Microsoft acquiring all these titles might not be a good thing? I would hope that it would spur more gamers to figure out how to code, and make the next masterpiece, like New Vegas.
