free-associating on weird bands/band names : a UK anarcho-punk associates of Crass were Rudimentry Peni. They became a meme band amongst West Coast hardcore scene/punks. Some of them later became an organised gang & adopted the name PENI or PEN1 for Public Enemy No.1 & in prison became associated with the Aryan Brotherhood ( see prison film Shot Caller )

Being a German speaker would make grasping these older forms much easier than an English speaker would for Old English, give it a try as it’s pretty damn fun and exiting when you can read books and poetry from the medieval period without any help.
