Good to hear Alan’s reminisces, I wonder what happened to Chris Vidnavich, is he still alive? I also remember those days well, I was there in the NSWPP too. I remember thinking, at the time, that once the beguiled WWII generation was gone, things might improve. I want to make an observation response to Alan’s sayings about how in his day, there were dense classified ads, filled with all types of jobs allowing for a comfortable, nonpolitical life: Back then, there were mostly productive distractions, today it is almost only destructive distractions.
I find it utterly fascinating to hear Alan speak to the political & social climate during these times. Nothing like a primary source to sort out the reality from what we have had repeated to us since then. For instance, what the typical white people of the day thought about MLK, how hip many were to the JQ and how he became politically aware.
Finally saw Mad Max. Good movie. They stole a lot from Fallout though.
