Thanks for the heads up. Whenever I experience this or see a warning about it, I simply open up the mp3 file in Audacity (freeware), select the track, and apply the “Compressor” effect. It takes a minute but levels out the audio and makes poorly mixed podcasts much easier to listen to.

Not sure exactly what state that was in but in my state coroners do not make determination of death. A coroner is a glorified spokesperson who is elected to office and takes the body from the crime scene and transports it to the medical examiner’s office. Ultimately the Medical examiner performs an autopsy and toxicology report which determines the cause of death and they are responsible for signing the death certificate before a body is released to a funeral home.

I think it’s a fine line having a purpose for your journalism, and letting that purpose affect your journalism. I’m not a journalist, but Striker does a terrific job in presenting information in a neutral tone to serve the truth. I’m inclined to let whatever motivates his tone continue without any interference, because I think it’s both good practice and praxis.
