Concerning giving state money to everyone, and not just the needy. In Sweden most wealth fare policies are general. Even if you are a billionaire, you still get a monthly check for 130$ if you have a kid. There are even a few benefits that actively exclude the underclass; for example maternity pay, where you have to have had a job and payed taxes for 9 months before delivery to get any money. The economic liberals in Sweden always attack the welfare state by demanding more mean testing, because they know this would undermine the popular support for the system.

Someone in these comments back in 2020 recommended John Mosier’s book -Deathride-, which now just goes by “Hitler vs Stalin” on Amazon. I have read the section on Stalingrad 1943 and the 1942-1943 fighting in general. Mosier has a very positive opinion of Hitler’s military decisions (academically speaking), especially compared to the disinfo spread by traitors after the war.
