Vitamins do take time to build up to effective blood levels, honestly your daily vitamins over the counter ones you take, you piss most of it out.
The best option is to get a real Whole Food Multi Vitamin made from real food sources. Your body will absorb it like you do from food rather than a synthesized pill form delivery.
Vitamin A (good for infections), C, B6, E, D, Zinc, Folic Acid are the best for your immune system in general.
Folic acid is synthetic folate and disrupts the entire methylation pathway from the beginning, which in turn affects other pathways like glutathione and SAMe. If you aren’t methylating properly your entire body and virtually every process will not function as it should.
If you’re going to supplement, which I don’t advice unless you’ve had a genetic test done to determine if you have any single nucleotide polymorphisms and worked with a genetic doctor or naturopath…you have plenty of more bioavailable folate options such as L-5-MTHF or Folinic acid.
This gal on Instagram is a wealth of knowledge in re to health & has several Whole Foods supplements she suggests, some of which I’ve ordered. @nutrition.elements . She specifically teaches about /our/ health needs.

Colloidal silver is a natural antibiotic. You can make it at home and no, it doesn’t turn you blue. They just say that so you’re hooked on the pharma synthetics. You can take high doses of vitamin C when you’re already sick to speed recovery, but you need to use lypospheric vitamin C, greater efficacy than tablets. Pricey tho.
From what I have learned re colloidal silver, particle size matters and taking the wrong kind can leave you with the blues Lol. A basic rule of thumb I go by with all supplements is form matters. I have hedical advice. I’ve been taking 4000iu’s of vitamin D3 daily and haven’t been sick in 4 years. I think vitamin D3 is better for immunity than C. But I’m not a Dr.
Just 4k for me, I’ve been taking the same Nature Made brand for 4 years. It says D3 2000 IU. (50mcg). They are tiny white tablets and I take 1 in the morning and 1 at night.
Little known fact, our highly efficient white skin only requires somewhere around 15 minutes of direct sun to skin contact a day to produce adequate vitamin D naturally. Supplements are fine but make sure you at least pulse your dosage, friendo. Skip a few days. You never want to supplement forever. If you insist, pair it with K2. And because I cannot help myself, Nature Made is a terrible brand of vitamins.
And the body stores enough d normally to last us all winter, but I’m sure that’s according to the (((experts))), and the fact that we’re not outside farming 7 months of the year makes a difference too

My doc told me my B12 is too high and vitamin D is fine. He said vitamin D everyday will cause kidney stones. Check your bloodwork at least annually.
