Nice discussion guys, much nostalgia. The golden age of modding was a wild frontier. Lots of guys out there whose early fiddlings with modding paved the way or evolved into eventual career paths, even if unrelated to game development. For current generations to lose that sort of direct creative engagement with the media they would otherwise just consume, really is a great loss.
