I’ve interacted with him before- he writes “erotic literature” or poems, or something- is a swede and wears lipstick sometime, I’ve called him out for his shitlib tendancies and he responded with “Fuck off with your ‘shitlib’ bullshit!” to which I responded “No, you fuck off with your shitlib bullshit.”
But yeah, I’ve always loved Space Quest, and he probably does the best job with the games, its almost like you’re just not going to avoid the shitlibery.

Ackswally Moike the Apple ][ did have a command line — Apple DOS. I never used Apple ][ so can’t comment on how you ran programs from personal experience but I’ve seen plenty of YouTube videos of people at a command line prompt on old Apple ][ machines. If Moike was using Apple ][ in the Apple IIGS era then his Apple ][ might have had ProDOS which had a GUI.

In our house we also had a computer used by the family. And because of my VERY severe asthma – been to hospital multiple times a year – on that computer(s) (286 and onward) I learned BASIC programming language before I was ~10.
I remember some motorcycle-smacking game. Black and white memories.

oh man i watched speed runs of quest for glory after last week then 100% runs of space quest.
spacequest historian is a swede, paw dugan did some family friendly dorky runs, and that awful smarmy jew from game grumps did an insufferably snarky playthrough of all the space quest games where he was insufferably snyde and cyniccal about every time he died.
