I sorta followed Syria like people follow sports. I spent like an hour a day on LiveMap watching all the videos and reading the Twitter posts attached to each icon.
Someone actually put all the icons from LiveMap into this video.
It was cool though. Each day there would be gains or setbacks. 2016/17 feelz. This is actually Live Map. To be fair, much as i enjoyed it, i actually WAS rooting for Assad totally unironically. So it was better than sports because gains actually were good for the world.
After listening to all the assuies on j&j I wish we had their version of tyranny. The American style of chilling effect and private sector tyranny sucks compared to the Australian style where no one on either side is armed and cops shoot guns with boxing gloves on a spring at you.
