A history teacher and I bonded quite a bit over Patton. I wrote essays about Patton, we watched the movie, etc. – was pretty cool.
My dad always took that “we fought the wrong enemy” quote and thought it just meant that he hated the Russians even more than the Nazi’s.
I just watched the movie a few weeks ago. Patton really was better than this country ever deserved and they killed him for his hard work.
