Lead may not vaporize under 300C, but it would attach to coating compounds present in solder. The real danger is from finger contact. Lead gets absorbed by fingers and I can’t work with gloves.
Tin based solder is fine, you just need to work with higher temps and use kolophonium generously.

Lead is absorbed via skin. This is not up for debate. I’m soldering cables and smallish electronics just fine with tin solder. It’s not a big deal, you just need to get used to it, can’t really do do-overs. It’s really fine. For small electronics, and chips you use hot air, and reflow ovens. People do it, it’s just that the costs don’t justify the investment, unless you’re repairing macbooks and shit. I can build a power source for a project I need. But why?
