I work retail and it happens all the time. The vast majority of my work doesn’t deal directly with customers, but they see you in uniform and insist you get them whatever they want RIGHT NOW. I will help decent respectful people if it doesn’t interfere with what I’m actually there to do, and even open a register to get them on their way. The absolute cunts that expect you’re there at their beck and call get completely ignored, or flat out told to fuck off.
