Here’s why I think Lynch is good: The films of his I like are actually traditional in their morality and despite him seeming to lampoon small town Americana I think Twin Peaks shows genuine affection for the town. There’s a shot everyone here should consider concerning the withdrawal from Afghanistan. I dislike David Lynch out of contrarianism as I think he is completely overrated.
I do, however, like the Dune movie and I was able to tell what was going on, so I don’t know what everybody else’s problem is.

Lynch films are “good” (they aren’t) because most of the actors are charismatic, the photography is visually compelling, and the general pacing – the long shots – are almost hypnotic. The long duration shots allow to absorb the mis en scene, and you keep waiting for something to happen. Which either happens, or doesn’t. Just like Ed Wood movies. They draw you in. However – the films aren’t really “good” – they DISTURBING. NMH Is unironically pretty good. People like to make fun of /mu/core but a large number of those albums are actually fantastic. Sadly now mu is solely kpop trannies, other assorted soyim and “hip hop heads” (hipster version of wiggers). Thankfully there’s still enough pol influence for it not to be completely pozzed.
But yeah I saw Mangum and co. back in high school and it was one of my formative music memories. Fun times.
