I haven’t watched Schindler’s list, but in the 1970s there was a movie about Corrie ten Boom, a Christian who hid Jews in the Netherlands during WWII, in which she eventually gets caught and sent to a concentration camp and they have a shower scene where it’s implied that they are about to be gassed but it’s just a shower with water. The “showers were gas chambers” trope has been out there a long time.
There’s some really vile shit in Schindler’s List. There’s a scene that is either Kristallnacht or a pseudo-Kristallnacht where Jewish corpses are just stacked in a giant mound in the street. There’s also a scene where the camp commandant just snipes some woman for no reason. And ofc an obligatory hide-in-the-toilet scene.
