Alex is 100% correct on bench press form. Powerlifting form is it’s own thing. Most powerlifters only use that form when 1rp maxing. Essentially, it’s a cheating the press and allows the lifter to press more weight and benchpress shirts lend aid to that form as well. It’s not uncommon to see a powerlifter that presses 405-495 range on stage only really press around 315-365 raw.
