Spectre no. I’m perfectly fluent in Spanish and English and English grammar is simple compared to Spanish but true, German is a bit more complex and Hungarian is even harder. Europe is very varied. What is richer in English is pronunciation and the subtle use of vocabulary. I love English very much and I am not speaking as a critic. I love Spanish, largely because it’s so easy. I was actually thinking about this yesterday. It follows such a consistent and simple formula. Phonology is very simple, declension is very simple, even idioms are very simple. I learned Spanish for two years in middle school and I can still converse fairly well with Mexican co-workers.

The Spanish Main refers to the colonies of mainland Americas, Mexico (New Spain) and South America (New Granada), as opposed to the earlier settlements on islands, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Domenica etc. I’m afraid Spectre is off base on Spanish being grug because of its relatively simple grammar.
