Good show, the wood segment was really informative.
On the WQ/PQ, I have solid hickory hardwood floors, stained oak molding and crown molding in most of my house, all installed myself, but I do have white plastic molding in my bathroom, if you use a hand miter you avoid the issue of melt. It works fine for wet environments but you have to secure it better because it’s flimsy compared to wood.

I flip when I see a beautiful Victorian home remodeled like they do on HGTV. Now my home, 1870, RESTORED.
We live in an old farm house from the same period. The entire structure is built from virgin hardwood harvested locally. The structural engineer who did the evaluation of the house for the loan said he’d never seen a building this sound.
