Black people aren’t romantic. It’s not believable. Black people don’t have partners. They pump and dump. Black mothers don’t even love their kids. They hate their kids. Black people don’t love and are not worthy of being loved. When they try to insert those kinds of relationships into black movies for White audiences it’s extremely cringe and impossible to take seriously.
Their ‘love’ disputes are more about maintaining one’s sense of pride/ownership/status, not an emotional connection. This observation corresponds to their low suicide rate, too.
What you should watch is ‘Crips and Bloods: Made in America’. It’s a documentary, that goes over the history of South Central, from the great migration to the 2000’s.
