In MMA air chokes are not very common.BJJ has the north-south choke, and sometimes you’ll see a dirty guillotine/rear-naked/triangle choke turning into an air choke. Rarer yet is the person that passes out from a chokehold, most people tap as it is very uncomfortable. Blood chokes are pretty well the norm in MMA at this point.
