Wind is to the point where it is cheaper than even natural gas, WITHOUT subsidies. Even solar farms are getting there quickly. Back-up plants can be built, and even energy storage options are beginning to come online. One thing that seems to have gotten lost in the discussions I’ve had with normies about the Texan grid is how coal-fired plants, natural gas-fired plants, and even one nuclear reactor were shutdown or underperforming due to issues with the cold. Plants in colder places like Yankeeland are built to withstand cold and operate normally. Texas’ aren’t and though the state energy regulator made recommendations to retrofit the plants so they’d run during a winter storm, they weren’t mandated to do so. The natural gas distribution also shut down. Well heads, compressors, pipes all froze up. The natural gas plants had no reserves. LOL, we actually put 5 million Mexicans in the dark since we share power with them, and we took their milkshake. LOL

I have said for years to anyone that would listen that if people were truly worried about the environment they would be worried about all the xenoestrogens and other chemistries being dumped into the greater environment. Algae blooms block sunlight that makes it harder for sea plants to grow. This means less oxygen is produced in that area killing fish. One of those things you can actually bitch about with China but no one does.
