No preinstalled plugs on appliances like the dishwasher might be a stupid way of idiot proofing them. It’s possible that an idiot could plug an appliance into an outlet or extension cord that has no ground connection and then under some circumstances due to a malfunction get electrocuted through the conductive case of the appliance or through a water puddle if it’s dishwasher, washing machine or anything else where liquids are involved.

I thought the same thing about Kid Detective, kind of meh. But it didn’t make me mad or roll my eyes, so that’s good. I liked the girl character, she seemed genuine. But the movie is overall just pure ennui. I won’t hold it against Mike and Jay for recommending it.
