Rush Limbaugh got his talk radio start in Sacramento, California, not Rio Linda. Rio Linda was just a Sacramento-area suburb which Rush liked to make fun of.
I used to listen to Rush before he went national, as his Sacramento radio station was a fairly powerful signal which covered most of Northern California.
Rush was a bit more right-wing and implicitly nationalist back then, before he got the “here’s a free trip to Israel, goy; better take it if you know what’s good for your career” treatment.
