Charles Lindbergh is easier to forgive than current year “America First” types when it comes to not getting the shot and falling for somewhat Grug racism. The US was at least a White country at the time, and the absolute corruption of its every institution was at least not as apparent, so seeing the Pacific Theatre as a racial struggle against the Yellow Peril was a more plausible cope than the verifiably bad faith attempts by Amnats to do the same with China in the current year.
