Stock sperg here, So with stock splits, if you have 10 shares at 400 and they do a 1 to 2 split you will have 20 shares at 200 dollars. It does not effect your position, it just makes it cheaper for retail investors to buy in. When it comes to stock price each company is different. You can have Coca-Cola at $50 a share and the company is worth 250 billion but also have Snapchat at $50 and only be worth 75 billion. You can’t compare companies based off stock price. I am next to certain that that edition is the original edition text. The Bantam 1982 edition says it has the original 1960 translation, at least according to Wikipedia. And I believe there is a note in the book that says it has the original text and not one word was omitted.

I bought Dalton’s “Debating The Holocaust” this weekend. very hard to find… however, there is one very mainstream online store that still sells it — i am hesitant to even mention which one on here. anyway, the book is amazing. halfway through…

Stock splitting is when they give all shareholders more shares proportionally to get the price lower. When the company issues new shares, they dilute your ownership.

That copy of “Night” was the same copy I was required to read in high school. I remember even then how ridiculous the story was to some of my peers, but because of the guilt inducing narrative and social pressure – nobody spoke up.
