Striker: “Oz is one of my favorite shows. I love the politics and the way the different prisoners interact with each other…”
Never mentions it’s narrated by a guy in a wheel chair.
I’m sure it would be easy enough to grow corn and potatoes and prisoners could grow it and add it to whatever garbage their served or eat that instead.
Gays should be separated too. From the general pop.
Prisons should be segregated. Whites are often minorities and often get targeted. Maybe not at low security jails but definitely in higher security prisons they do.
I don’t think they should take porn away from inmates. It shouldn’t be contraband either. I think it’s probably hard enough. Plus that probably cuts down on weird shit and rape.
Weird shit and rape already happen and the porn is flowing freely. I propose a new idea: zero-tolerance policy on degeneracy.
I wish he elaborated more on prison food. Do they let you get second servings? LOL
If it’s a bad chow day, they do. It depends on how much is leftover before they’re forced to throw it all away. Convicts who win bets can sometimes score other people’s meals though, so you’ll have like one inmate have a triple serving of cake or tater tots on his tray. No one goes hungry though, everyone has PB&J in the cell or anchovies or some shit.
Prison inmates have a more respectable position on pedophiles than the judges, the prosecutors, the members of congress and on and on
At first I thought the squeaking dog toy was Striker uncorking a whiskey bottle. I thought to myself “how much is Striker drinking?”
Anyway, Great episode! I plan to order the book.
I wish my whiskey bottle corks sounded like squeaky dog toys. Maybe the alt-right should get Elon Musk to work on a prototype whiskey cork that does that sort of thing.
Random info for those who might be interested: prison in California breaks down strictly by race and is dominated by Mexicans. Whites are typically lead by Aryan Brotherhood or other White Nazi-ish gang members, but these guys are rare. Most whites are drug addicts, old winos, normal people who made a really horrible decision, but not career criminals. The Mexicans are divided roughly between Southsiders (bald headed gang affiliated chicanos with dumb names like Creeper or Bandit) and Paisanos (foreign born Mexicans, some cartel, some not). Southsiders are pretty hierarchical and regimented, have rules about cleanliness, dress code, mandatory exercise,… Read more »
Also, for Borzoi, the panopticon has been adopted many many places, especially for higher security inmates. You have a central tower or bubble with tinted windows (COs can see out but inmates cannot see in), then cells in a concentric circle around it with either bars or glass with full visibility of the inmates. The inmate could be watched at all time, but he never knows when he is or is not. Whether this deters bad behavior like Bentham thought, not really. Inmates either simply don’t care or they somehow find a way to hide things.
How many of these panopticon prisons have an almost completely white population? Incarceration is a punishment for White people. Apparently it doesn’t work with blacks.
For blacks it’s a housing project.

Sigh…you just HAD to go there.
He’s named after his grandfather, Jack N. Hoff.
Borzoi’s first pupper is a German shepherd…..Ironic and slightly disappointing.
Pretty funny how when you go into prison “rapists and pedophiles” are rightfully treated as persona-non-grata – then when you get out of prison they run the fucking world, with an army of aspirational cocksuckers running cover for them.
For all the horrors of prison, sometimes I think it’s dynamics are more natural compared to the Jew’d system we’re currently trapped in.
>Gym day everyday
>Rapists and pedos second-class citizens
>No McJob to go to
Remind me again how this is bad?
Ass-rape. No wahmens.
No wahmens can be a plus or a minus

Read this:
Woman was ejected from the human rights commission in Alaska because she correctly translated the German word “Reich” to the English word “realm.” They were upset about an Alaskan license plate with the reference “3reich.”
She was the only member out of the commission to defend the owner, stating that the customized license plate doesn’t necessary reference the NSDAP and that it wouldn’t cause any harm.
She was immediately ejected from the commission following her comment.

Why am I supposed to care about this dumb, double-talking conservative?
I spent 8 years in corretions and found Jack’s take on it spot on. Especially about the term “corrections.” The problem isn’t that there aren’t enough services offered to inmates (mental health treatment, addiction treatment, behavorial health, etc.), the problem is that the majority of inmates do not want to be corrected.
Helped write the Japanese Constitution back in ’45. Appears she’s about 22 years old.

When I was jail there was a certain weight lifted off my shoulders after a couple weeks when the dread of being locked up wore off. I had no bills or job to go to. I learned to deal with boredom by entertaining myself with my inner monologue. Some inmates, like the NPC meme, clearly had no inner monologue. Jack is 100% correct about not taking loans from people. Don’t gamble and don’t ever say anything you’re not willing to back up. Best advice is to keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open. Mind your own business.
That was a fascinating episode, really enjoyed it. Definitely picking up this book.
When will TPS interview Jack Straw from Wichita?
