I had to refresh my memory on Megadeth’s “Trust”. The reason I was confused is because you called it a rehash of “Enter Sandman”. I see what you mean, now that I’m older and know more about song structure, but I never really thought of it like that before. For one that riff is so much cooler than “Enter Sandman”. I hear it, but I also hear a lot if Tony Iommi influence in that riff.
Edit: the other part that threw me off was that Megadeth has much more direct rehashes of Metallica songs, like “Mechanix”.
The riff, in my opinion, is a very prog version of the riff from Enter Sandman, and I find the song structures to be nearly identical.
