I have boomer in-laws. Unless we are proactive in getting them to come play with grandkids they spend most of the day sitting in front of the TV watching Fox News, football, or reruns of Gunsmoke and Bonanza. I don’t really know how they can stand it but I think a lot of it is they just can’t do very much physically anymore.
Also a boomer, never cared that much for Gunsmoke too much except for Deputy Festus. “Festus is here to arrest us!”

My novelty take on hiv aids is that hiv is a blood borne virus that infects homosexuals and intravenous drug users. AIDS is just GRIDS renamed and hiv is just a virus one inevitably gets by engaging in homosexuality. Magic Johnson has had HIV for decades and it doesn’t seem to be doing him any harm. Blaming HIV for AIDS/GRIDS is like blaming getting wet for causing drowning.

They don’t shrink down in Andromeda Strain, it’s about some disease from a crashed satellite. There isn’t a space station but there is some underground disease research facility with intrusive decontamination measures, that could be why you think space station. Fantastic Voyage is the original shrinking down and injected into a human body movie that Innerspace was a goof on.
