Oof. Been there Mike. Had a whole house water filtration system burst in the winter while I was working in another city, trying to fix up and sell the house. I pull in the driveway and there’s fucking icicles coming out from the bottom of the front door. You don’t want to know how the inside was.

I worked for a property management company and saw a turlet overflow situation. It was that funky type that has a tilting plastic tank inside the porcelain tank. When you flush yesterday’s tendies the inner tank tips the clean water out, and into the bowl. The plastic tank in this case caught on the porcelain tank and kept running. It’s a piss-poor design that that could even happen. What was wrong with the standard design I don’t know—like someone had to try to build a better mousetrap.

I’m a listener, so its rare I get to see the ol death panel. I absolutely fucking died when Jesse took a sip of “The Holocaust is fake” mug. Holy fuck that’s funny hahaha.

My best friend owns a “pub” and hadn’t been enforcing the covid guidelines, but a customer got sick, tested positive & told the health department she’d been at the “pub”. So the health department showed up & threatened to shut them down if they didn’t force masks, take everyone’s name, address & phone number for contact tracing, take all employees temps daily, close at 10pm every night & no one is allowed to sit at the bar. Over flow tube should stop that from happening unless the fill valve allows water in at a higher volume than the overflow can handle.
I thought o saw some replacement bits that forgo the overflow riser tube with a flap and a dial right on the main flap. Idea is water weight will push the flap open.. seemed like a design that can easily fail or be installed incorrectly…

Not to get too sentimental or maudlin about it but thanks for being there for us to listen to guys. For average Joe Americans like us who mighta been fired or put into a work situation of necessity, who’ve been cooped up with cabin fever due to the lockdowns, who might have family situations due to the political climate, et cetera… a simple thing like a laugh from your favorite racist podcast can mean a lot!
