Something like Carcass or At The Gates are probably the easiest to get into. Or Entombed for that matter. I’m into the more melodic stuff anyway

Sven, have you heard a German folk metal band called Finsterforst? If not, let me recommend their album Rastlos. They have other albums but they’re hit and miss. Basically, they’re prog folk metal. Advance warning: they have an accordionist – Seriously. You wouldn’t think an accordion would fit into metal, but it works.
Lyrics are all in German though.

Death, Deicide (first 3 albums), Morbid Angel, Obituary, Autopsy, Zyklon (a side death metal project by some of the guys from Emperor originally called Zyklon B), and the first Darkthrone album Soulside Journey is a death metal album before they started doing black metal.
Good recommendations so far. If you’re into melodic stuff, Edge of Sanity is another fantastic Swedish band. They had a proggy flavor that was tasteful and didn’t succumb to instrumental self-stroking. Black Metal is another genre I’d recommend. A bit less visceral and bludgeoning than Death Metal, and more atmospheric. I consider Black Metal to be the most implicitly pro-White music there is, and explicitly so with the National Socialist subgenre.
Try Dismember, specifically Massive Killing Capacity. It is their most easily accessible album and it has some incredible bangers like ‘I saw them die’.
