I don’t think that MASH was all that preachy. They would show military men in a good light quite often and there are even a few moments where Sherman Potter would set Hawkeye and BJ straight about the army. As for WKRP I can only remember a couple of episodes that were particularly preachy. One about Andy’s sister dating Venus Flytrap which I have to admit just enrages me and another about a Jerry Falwell-like minister who tries to get WKRP to blacklist some songs because of their lyrics. COVID-19 is not fake…. You will only see the excess deaths afterwards. (Year out ~) But Americans seem to be more affected, weather its because you guys are fat or faking it, IDK… Here in Europe wearing a mask is not a big deal, its a burger freedom issue. I had a relative with a health condition catch it and we were worried for a day or two before it became apparent that it’s flu 2.0 for most people, they were on the verge of hospitalization for a few days but recovered later. But yes I think if they hadn’t enacted the lock down measures the global economy would have literally collapsed because of the obesity rate and large numbers of vitamin d deficient (blegs and browns) people in Murica. I may or may not live in the UK in the county of Essex. Essex, with a population of 1.8 million, volunteered last week to increase COVID-19 restrictions i.e. go to the Tier 2 or ‘High’ level. (Like McDonalds, COVID-19 restrictions come in ‘Medium’, ‘High and ‘Very High’.)
This was based on 87 people in the county being in hospital due to COVID-19. Which is 0.0048% of the population or 5 per 100,000.
Those 87 people will likely have a median age of over 80. And likely have between 2 and 3 co-morbidities on average.
