I have push back a bit on Grindcore. Some of the early stuff was great. Especially if you were just a non-political metal head in high school in the late 80’s/early 90’s. But the fact that there are still bands trying to do it is sad. Its like seeing people who are still trying to be crust punks.

In the before time you could find it on Discogs. Nowadays you might run across Skrewdriver albums being sold by small record labels in Denmark or Holland etc. I think Eastern Europe and Russia will be the future of RAC record sales and music scene.

Fuck that, Ian Stuart tapped into something transcendent. You can’t tell me logos doesn’t exist at the level of race. He had fire in his soul and you could hear it in his voice. Wow, the memories. I saw Anal Cunt in ’97. It’s the only time I was ever nervous at a show. You weren’t quite sure if Seth was going to start hitting the crowd with the mic stand or not. 454 Big Block also played…which was pretty much just a gang.

I had a chance to see them around that time too and I didn’t go. I regret it so much. I grew up in a super liberal city and I’d have loved to see how Seth berated the crowd.
