The best book that examine’s the relationship between Christianity and the Third Reich is a book called “The Holy Reich” by Richard Steigmann-Gall. The book shows that Germany’s Lutheran and Protestant population were very enthusiastic supporters of Hitler and National Socialism from the start of the regime to its end. It also shows that, although German Roman Catholics by and large supported Hitler, the papal authority structure highly disparaged nationalism and often tried to discredit Hitler and his ideals.
That’s right tease me with a book that cost hundreds of dollars.

That’s correct. I think you can get it if you get fired as well but you dont get as much versus getting laid off.
thing is that most companies won’t lay you off they’ll just cut your hours to the point where it’s no longer feasible for you but you don’t qualify for unemployment for working part time. So your options are financial ruin by staying with the job or you have to quit and go to a different job, which of course if you quit you don’t qualify for unemployment
Reducing your hours in this manner is usually considered “constructive termination” and you can still collect unemployment – your “quit” gets treated as “fired w/o cause” or “laid off.” Jurisdictions vary but at least in CA, the employee usually wins in these situations. Shady employers trying to cheat the system has been the norm for years and the system for all its (((problems))) has developed some internal pushback to the shittiest employer moves.
You can get unemployment for working part time. At least, in California you can. All our sales staff got unemployment and they usually work 14-22 hours a week.
I made a boss fire me once. He was trying to joo me out of my two weeks pay. All because I wanted to visit a family member who had a heart attack. Kept saying on the phone so you quit right? I told him no you can fire me otherwise I’ll be back on Monday for my regular shift. It was two days just to visit someone. Same job had to keep all our own time sheets to double check your pay, he would try and shave off 50-60 bucks all the time.
Some states will pay benefits if you can show that the working conditions were unsafe… But, I think it’s bad advice to tell people to roll the dice and quit and then try to claim UE based on unsafe working conditions.
