FTN: American Ozymandias (Jefferson Deep-Dive) – Part 2

June 25, 2020 by Jazzhands McFeels

Jazz, James, and Borzoi are back for the second half of their deep-dive into the life of Thomas Jefferson, America's Ozymandias. Expanding on American Coup D'Etat and details uncovered in American Mephistopheles (Hamilton Deep-Dive), this deep-dive is both a survey of the political context in which Jefferson lived as much as undertaking Jefferson the man, the sacred cow, the shibboleth that too must fall. If it's Thursday, it's FTN!

I’m not saying indians don’t suck, but they have a birth rate lower than whites, a misegination rate of almost half, a high suicide rate and a small population. They aren’t really a problem because they are dying off

Andrew jackson is my favorite president. Will you guys do him at any point? If he ends up being lame thatd be unfortunate.

Are you going to do a deep dive on Lewis & Clark? And especially the death of Meriwether Lewis?

Lots of interesting things to be had there. Such as the encounters with blonde haired, blue eyed injuns who spoke an old dialect of Welsh…

Just listened to the first episode, great stuff. Looking forward to this episode. Is it fair to say Jefferson’s anti-elitism created a vacuum of sorts for the Hamilton model to flourish in? I don’t mean to hold Jefferson accountable to later historical thought, but his Enlightenment notion of man as a free thinking citizen emancipated through education harkens back to Kant in some ways, and finds a sclerotic terminus in Boaz/Mead. Maybe I’m over thinking it. I do wonder though, if he’d seen his agrarian polity through a Fichtean rather than a Lockean lens, or had the benefit of Spengler’s… Read more »

I appreciate these deep dives. Very good stuff on Hamilton. You make a convincing argument that-given what he knew, when he veered from principle and when he didn’t-Jefferson is certainly the man who could have done better.   Regarding the discussion of Jackson’s Indian Policy ( 1:47 – 1:50), I think Jackson’s Indian philosophy was quite reasonable for his time. He was open to some level of integration and some small number of them did integrate; that integration was minimal and the assimilation for them was complete. In any event, his policy was clearly effective and hard to question. As… Read more »

Holy crapola. Jefferson’s plot sounds like the precursor to the scam covered in the episode of FTN covering Micro Finance Loans to squatamalans to take ownership of their land and move them around like chess pieces.

I remember the first hint that I was given that all was not as it seemed with the Founding Fathers was in Jim Goad’s first book The Redneck Manifesto:

Neither of the pre-installed apps on my Android work well, even if I download audio files. If I pause it and put it down, 1 in 4 times, it will be back at the beginning. I don’t have this problem with Podcast Addict. I don’t like its name, but other than that, it is good app that performs well. You can switch back and forth between files and it keeps its place for you.

Looking at the virtual tour of Monticello… http://explorer.monticello.org/virtualtour/

In the entrance hall, Jefferson’s collection of artifacts is comprised of what we would today find in a boojie, Liberal’s home. A map of what looks like Africa or South America, Injun artifacts, African tribalism sculptures and low…. A bust of Alexander Hamilton.

Oh man.

A lot of the founders had a fetish for Indian stuff, the “noble savage” and all that. I guess it really continued into the 1950s with Westerns. It’s easy to see how that became the backbone of Mormonism.

One thing that needs looking into is just how Jewish the early tobacco trade was, I remember seeing a Twitter thread on it and according to said thread around 70% of tobacco plantations were owned by Jews so excessive fees on plantation owners not as bad because of how many Jews there were

Not plan trusting here, cause I got no dog in the fight, but there is also a theory that it was Jeff Jefferson’s younger brother Randolph, that fathered the octaroons.

Tried to stay away from it looking like that directly, but like many ruins in Greece & Rome, signs of war are visible.

I’ve stayed in bed & breakfast’s that looked less hospitable than the slave quarters at Jefferson’s Poplar Forest estate… Just sayin’.

Taking the lottery lump sum payment is low time preference, not high, if you put the money in a trust and live off the interest you’ll be better off than if you take yearly payments from the government for 20 years.

At the rate things are going who knows if the government is going to honor those payments for 20 years. A few years ago Illinois was talking about stopping lottery payments due to a state budget crisis, IIRC.

I tried getting my dad to listen to this and it’s too much for him. I think like they say in the Matrix, some minds are too old to unplug from the system. Even I have a hard time accepting that it’s all been fake and gay from the beginning.

It’s like their brains could only hold so much info up to a certain point and after that every night they go to sleep it’s like a reset button to the previous day.

Just try to get them to understand the system is Anti-white and that might be the best you can do.
It’s better than nothing.

I have that same reaction from my older brother. Very frustrating. As for having a hard time accepting that America’s always been fake and gay well that just explains to me, in my reading of American history, why nothing seemed to work right. I always noticed how fucked-up America has been. All the pieces fell into place.

There’s a lot of damaging material on Lincoln available. Since he was one of the primary grave diggers of White America, a deep dive expose on him is essential.

Love these historical deep dives. I don’t care if they’re painfully redpilling. We need to know what really happened to better understand what’s going on today and what will happen in the future. The devil is in the details. And yes that is an antisemitic dog whistle.

PS. When you guys do your Inquisition deep dive… Cristobal Colon. Painful red pills.
