Can confirm 5.25” floppies circa 1980 on my high school North Star Horizon 8-bit S-100 bus Zilog Z80A microcomputers (with 70s fake wood paneling!) running CP/M, MS Basic, WordStar, VisiCalc, etc.
I’m old but 8” floppies are before my time. You had to be into computing hard core in the 1970s to be using 8” floppies. By 1980 they were already on the way out and being replaced by 5.25”.
