Jazzhands is wrong about deepfakes not having anything to do with AI. That is what is so revolutionary about deepfakes. You feed an AI video and audio of a person and it creates the deepfake. Humans can not manipulate audio and video like the AI can.

You know this reminds me a of a book I read about the air war over Vietnam. They quoted the great
fighter pilot Robin Olds, who once shot down 4 “Vietnamese” fighters in one engagement, referring to all the warning systems on the F-4 Phantom as more of a distraction than anything else. Him and his fellow fighter jocks would just turn all that shit off so they could concentrate on actually flying the aircraft.
