In place of paramilitaries or political armies the US has pro sports leagues, and when a pro athlete dies you have mobbed funerals with 2 meter tall portraits of the departed wavering over the brown, tan, and sadly white waves or mourners.
We should try to spread the meme that Iran shot down Kobe’s helicopter because he was America’s Soleimani. Rile up some gullible boomers.
