Bought a 2000 Jeep Cherokee in April 2004 for $8800 (approximately 55-60K miles, I think)
It finally died in June 2019 with 194,500~ miles,
Bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler (77K miles) in June 2019 for $17995.
I like my Jeeps, so I got (mostly) what I wanted … but damn. Twice as much for a Jeep that was 8 years old versus a Jeep that was 4 years old.
I loved that Jeep Cherokee. I doubt I’ll ever manage to own the same automocar for 15 years straight again.
