How many white people are having mix-raced kids? I don’t know well because I don’t live in America, but I’m surprised to hear James say it’s rare, because I thought that like 10-15% of white people are marrying brown people? And I assumed that white people who are having kids outside of marriage are having mixed-race kids at an even greater rate.

A lot of those interracial marriages/children are a white person with a hispanic. In many instances those hispanics are white. Technically it is considered interracial but in practice it is not.

However, I feel like Kyle Ramos was here to learn rather than debate. The number of times he seemed thunderstruck and zapped into paralysis from information overload within the first hour of the debate proved that he has a lot of research and studying to do. I would have said nearly exactly what Kyle was saying in 2012 about liberty, education, demographics, etc.
It’s easy for people at a certain stage in politics to forget that there are millions of people like them, susceptible to political evolution, that just haven’t been spurred in that direction yet. He seemed like a guy with some skepticism about the powers that be and the political theater we find ourselves in. Maybe our conversation will spur him into doing some further research and think about these things in a different way he was previously not exposed to.

I think that you guys made the mistake of granting Kyle the premise that personal liberties are some sort of abstract good in our struggle. You can correct me if I am wrong but I think you both were being polite and trying to have a pleasant conversation and not blood sports. My impression was and is that you both are more pragmatic than that but we all have our priors.
Just because juice have perverted “personal liberty” doesn’t mean that we have to become worker drones like the chinese. We can find a decent balance between the two extremes. Whites were not meant to be slaves. We need some degree of freedom to express our spirit. It’s what makes us great.

You are probably right and I was just being autistic about rejecting all aspects of liberalism. While I do agree that you guys won I think that against a more savvy or dishonest opponent they could have exploited that. Kyle seemed like an alright sort and if your goal was to convince him you may have been successful, but I have the suspicion that he woke up today and shook the loss off. If that was your intent I apologize, I initially thought he was just a foil you guys brought on.
He asked us to come on to discuss these topics. My goal was to disabuse him of these tired ideas not go for the jugular. The present state of affairs and ease with which one can point to real life evidence in support of our positions makes that task pretty easy.

Trump’s economy hinges on new construction. He knew that shortened times for building permits would jump start the economy. On larger projects, many times permits could take years. Now they take 3 to 6 months. It’s not hard to see if you are actually a working class person.
How has the Trump administration done anything to expedite permitting for most new construction? In my experience the permits most difficult to secure are from the county & state; the federal government only gets involved when there is a HUD/Interior/BLM impact to consider.
I’m not defending him here, but at the start of his administration, Trump did sign many executive actions that ended environmental impact studies & other such things. All large projects will involve federal regulations regarding water ways & other environmental impacts including dust management etc. Where I live the economy hasn’t been this good for over a decade. Of course, I realize it won’t last forever. It never does.
