Sven you should look into a 4 day bodybuilding split (2 muscles a day) HIT style (High Intensity Training) you’ll be in and out of the gym in 45-50min and make more visual gains then you will in any powerlifting program. Most of these guys who are jacked and power lifters are on gear and started off bodybuilding and built a good foundation to powerlift with. Tbh I didn’t stop 5×5 till I could consistently squat lmao3pl8s once, but I wasnt doing it like it sounds like you are. I’d start out with a weight that was medium – weight but I could do it. Then just keep adding 10-20 pounds every set. So I might start out at 200, but end at 275.

If you are doing 5X5’s and completing every set for 5 reps, you aren’t using nearly enough weight. If you choose a proper weight that you can ONLY handle for 5 reps (and no more) on set 1, you physiologically cannot bang out 5 reps on set 5. My last set, I may only get 1-2-3 reps, but usually once I hit 3 on set 5 I’m ready to move up on weight. So the amount I can lift for 5 on set 1 goes up every week, maybe two. Those can heal better than (((doctors))) would have you believe. A good chiropractor or therapeutic massage therapist might be the place to start. Fish oil probably helps. Condroitin capsules might help too. Indian “Aryan” medicine has some good physical treatments also. They typically put you in a steam box to warm up which is something I think chiropractors could learn from.
