I saw that same Distributist video the other night. My take based on the name and smug “I’m too big brained for race” bit was that he’s likely Catholic nrx. This could be a hot take or an icy take but it is likely an Icy Hot take, meaning it has very little analytical usefulness but you can rub it into a sore shoulder for immediate pain relief.

Mike, actually David Irving sued Deborah Lipstadt(sp?). She’d called him a holocaust denier, and he said that that was libel, and that there was no holocaust to deny. Easy to get it wrong.

The holocaust, lampshades and soap crap is covered in William Shirer’s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, published in 1959.
The soap thing doesn’t make any sense because people across Europe during the war were either on food rationing or just plain starving, so the didn’t have enough body fat to provide the raw material for soap.
Shirer was a journalist; lots of journalists wrote anti-German atrocity propaganda stories in WWI which were publicly debunked after the war; this public debunking did not happen after WWII but a lot of people expected it to happen.
