In the second installment of By the Numbers James and Alex take a journey through the state of rural America. Visiting the crumbling barns and farms which once formed the foundation of America's rise to prosperity. Without falling victim to the Jeffersonian view of America, the pair lament the decline of a vital social group and well of family formation.

Awesome content guys keep it up
Would you guys do an episode on food insecurity? As a consequence of the hallowing out of American rural life. Plus, a lot of our food goes to the third world.
“1 HOUR”
I’ll be impressed when you bring Mike or Striker on and still keep it to an hour.
Go ahead. I dare you!
All these companies: ADM, ConAgra, Cargill, Monsanto etc. need to be owned by farmers/ranchers in a syndicalist system.
“Rome and farming.”
This has something about that subject:
Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire (Tiberio Graco) – video Dailymotion
The title of this episode should be The Evil of Capitalism.

Shit! I have tobacco farming kin in North Carolina!
Or I used to.
Good episode.
Being just 1 hour means it do not over stay its welcome, especially when it come to topics like this that you want to think about and remember.
The year is 2030. John Deer tractor sales are near zero. Farmers and their employees are using their personally owned EV tax credit subsidized tesla model 3’s to pull farm equipment.
While policy does matter, it’s still true that the introduction of increasingly expensive technology into agriculture alone leads to the financialization of the industry. This is for a very simple reason: the firms that manufacture high-tech equipment only accept US dollars as payment. Farmers used to barter for the equipment they needed or do a little work on the side for cash. You can’t barter with John Deere; you need dollars. A big family and a donkey isn’t capital-intensive. A workhorse and a plow might require more capital, but it’s still feasible. Modern tractors and combines, on the other hand,… Read more »
I grew up in rural homes that were formerly farmsteads. I was always weird playing in empty corn cribs and silos, and wondering what it was like when they were still working farms. Regarding tractors, I think the extreme durability worked against the companies producing them. We had a small Case utility tractor with a gas engine that was built in 1948 and still ran fine. My dad’s side of the family had a couple Oliver diesel tractors from the 60s that were still being used. The tractor industry consolidated to the point where you now have a choice between… Read more »
Excess crops can now be turned into biofuel now so we don’t even need to complain about government destroying some for price controls. Wasting resources is something that pains me whenever I see it. Seeing the trash the jews are mandating to be produced is an atrocity to me because we live on a planet with finite resources.
At least like 80% of the trash imported from China should be banned and we should have autists manning a bureau to manage what products are allowed to be, or at least be imported, on the market.
Yes all excess crops should be turned into biofuels. I grew up in Illinois with nearly all of my family either living in Illinois and Iowa both of which rely heavily on agriculture and biofuels to support the local economy.
I’d rather see corn being turned into ethanol than corn syrup.
Rural living farmer here. I don’t mind feeding whites. Them niggers can keep my crops out of their mouth!
Great show. How do you feel about hydroponic farming? It seems to be an easy way to get cheaper labor intensive crops without illegal immigrants.
A place not too far from me runs a large vertical hydroponic facility, growing lettuce and such. It seems like a pretty reasonable way to get high-quality food without having to rely on tons of illegal laborers.
The avacados feilds are now basicly ran by the worst cartels in Mexico CJNG. So we’re subsidizing cartels just to have some avacados.
Thanks for the easy download link on this episode
TRS Karlsson is vastly better than normie-con Carlson.
Ohio is still largely agricultural. I got stuck behind a tractor just the other day.

Also, its not like the food being produced is healthy for society in any way.
So the dislike thinks it’s healthy I’m genuinely confused
Great show. Keep it up.
I really think building a parallel economy is be good to undermine the control our Gouvernements have on us, love this show. I like that TRS got idea similar to Varg view over time, things like grabbing all the money you can from the State, and lot of other thing that the Alt-Right would shit on him for. But even better because you’re still reaching to people, and going back to tribal time is to me nearly impossible plus a small tribe would get crushed.
Excellent show!

Doesn’t it sound like a wagie cagie job?…
I grew up in central/southern Illinois back in the 1980’s where farming was still fairly common at the local level and not multinational mega corporate kike owning all the farmland. My grandfather and great uncle took over the family farm/hog slaughterhouse after they got back from WW2 and continued up until the early 1990’s. By the time they retired small owned family farms were dead(this was 30+ years ago at this point) so they sold some of the land and kept some of the land so each family member could live there if they wanted to do so. The land… Read more »
Central Illinois and Southern Illinois connects here as well. Central Illinois was all farming, southern Illinois was oil and coal, and trucking. And everyone despised Chicago
Exactly. Only time my grandfather or great uncle would go to Chicago was to take the kids to see the Cubs play back in the day.
it’s a good podcast
My family line is Anglo-Saxon, pioneer stock & that is a great blessing. But the only thing I have a hard time understanding is the why the forests, coal, animals, were pillaged & exploited to the max. I don’t know whether they lacked foresight or most likely the work of a few capitalists.
Because it was an individualistic revelry where coordinated restraint to preserve something was oppression. It’s the same mentality that “respects the hustle” in people merely making money, praising work ethic as an end in itself, and will justify destructive products and industries because it gives people a job.
Yes, absolutely.
Up here in Canada we have a quota system for dairy farmers and milk.
