In this week's episode, SuperLutheran and Myles are joined by special guest, Patrick, who shares with us his story about becoming a transsexual, rejecting that deviant lifestyle, and thankfully finding his way back to God. Emails, as always, in the second half.

I love the Walther P1. If you can’t do it in 8, you need more range time.
@43:21 “social factors dont affect suicidality, nor does transitioning” So for the former claim, I’ve heard this so often that I take it for granted. The latter claim, I recall that the suicidality rate INCREASED the further along people were in the process. To put it indelicately, removing the twig and berries puts you at death’s door. However, do you recall offhand any sources for the stats? If not, no big. It’s hard to find legitimate research for this stuff because it’s been so politicised and censored Best wishes on your recovery, Patrick! Glad to hear things have been so… Read more »
I’d say it has to depend on how you are before hormone therapy. Hormones do a lot of subtle changes to personality and general function that if you’re not conscious of it you may think they’ve always been a part of you. I’m on you with the transitioning part increasing the rate, since any sort of depression or mental disorder will be affected by inverting the hormone levels and the ensuing metabolic aftereffects for other linked hormones. Moving these hormones our of their natural or habitual base-lines and ratios will cause problems, such as depression but also the possibility of… Read more »
Just to hit the Irish Orthodox question, both England and Ireland were still vassals under the Eastern Roman Empire until they were conquered by the Papal banner, obviously with England and the Norman Invasion by William the Conqueror. Ireland would be cut off logistically to the ERE through England and it already was on the opposite end of Europe so basically it did it’s own thing. Though with the Schism, there really wasn’t much theological difference before as it was more political (and the Papal States were wrong). Theological justification really came after, alongside a doubling-down effect especially in the… Read more »
Thanks guys for answering my question (I was the CS Lewis reader at the end). Rather than try and seek out a based Catholic church in my area that does latin mass, I am going to just switch denominations.
I read the small catechism as you suggested and will be looking up a conservative Lutheran church to join.
It’s always good to hear that someone came back from the abyss.
Up the Ra
The Ra?
I think he means the IRA
Maybe he’s some kind of Irish/Egyptian pagan?
Up the Anubis would have sounded weird.
We’ll forgive him his status as a Groyper.

Patrick, you need Jesus. Please Father help Patrick. He is Your child…please heal his confusion. We all get confused and lost at times, until we find Jesus.
All praise, honour and glory to God our Father, and to His son, Christ Jesus our Lord, who has redeemed us through the shedding of His blood.
That was very interesting, I hope he’s able to reconcile with his father now.
I can tell this is going to be the most interesting thing I listen to this week.
Hope he didn’t do any permanent damage
He was only on hormones, so probably only very limited lasting damage, thankfully.
He probably needs to run a PCT to kickstart his endocrine system, which is still likely shut down. It bounces back slowly, and the Trans regimens are much harsher (and haphazard) than like a steroid cycle, making it more difficult.
