“Especially when there are many, many of them…”
Thank you so much for answering my email and for your prayers. My wife and I are doing much better now than we were when I wrote in. You have inspired me with another question which I’ll send in for your next Email Extravaganza.
The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks the latest episode of the Godcast.
Proverbs 18:15
Is shorting stock and using margin usury? Margin depends on interest. Shorting stock is illegal in some Arab countries because they equate it to usury.
Technically, no. At lest in my opinion. Usury is generally only sinful if it’s applied to a person rather than a corporation. I would definitely not get involved in the short sale game, though. The risks simply aren’t worth the reward unless you have inside info.
Paying off your smallest debt is generally smart, but sometimes it is smarter to pay off the debt with the highest interest rate first.
Obviously, some calculations may be necessary to decide which is best.
And bugger off, I’m 47.
