This is the moment every progressive has been waiting for ever since the Duggar family graced the silver screen with the aptly named 17 (then 18, then 19...) Kids and Counting. If somehow the rock you're living under doesn't get wifi, a 2006 police report of Josh Duggar, the eldest Duggar son, came to light recently. According to this report, a 14-year old Josh Duggar was investigated for fondling 5 young girls, some of whom were his sisters. Details are vague, as the police report was ordered destroyed by a local judge after the revelation of its existence by the media but leaked copies suggest that he was fondling their breasts and vaginas while they slept. The identities of all of the affected parties were kept out for privacy purposes (either by the police or by the media). But what we DO know is that the victims reported the events to the Duggar family, and the Duggar family went the authorities themselves, and sought to remove Josh from the situation and get him help.
"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation."
"We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing," Duggar continued, "and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life. I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life. I would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions. In my life today, I am so very thankful for God's grace, mercy and redemption."
This admission of guilt did nothing to cool the emotional fervor of the popular media or their sycophants. They finally had evidence showing how corrupt and evil fundamentalist Christians really were. They just KNEW something was up – no one would choose to have a lot of children unless they were crazy or evil. And nothing else seemed to anger secular liberals more than the HYPOCRISY of the situation. But what hypocrisy was there? Christians readily admit the failings of humanity through sinful acts. The situation was addressed promptly, and under the auspices of the local authorities. The fact that this didn't make headline news is a testament to the concern for privacy of the victims, which we often hear about in sexual abuse and rape cases.
Six months ago another sex abuse scandal came to light when Lena Dunham, star of HBO's series Girls, recounted details from her own childhood in her autobiography, including, “One day, as I sat in our driveway in Long Island playing with blocks and buckets, my curiosity got the best of me. Grace (her sister) was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned between her legs and carefully spread her vagina.” Lena denied any wrongdoing, saying that she was just a kid herself, and of course, the rest of the left immediately jumped to her defense. One of Slate's illustrious writers shares the opinion of psychologist Ritch Savin-Williams, director of the Sex and Gender Lab at Cornell University: “This was happening between sisters, too, which is important. It’s not necessarily OK for a child to play sexually with a younger child if he or she don’t typically play together, but among siblings or close friends it can be different.” And Dunham was only 7 years old, so it's perfectly normal behavior. She claimed on Twitter that her sister was laughing about the whole thing. Because there's nothing amiss here. No lasting psychological side effects; for example, exposing yourself to millions of people on cable television, in Lena's case, or becoming a lesbian, in the case of her sister.
Going back to the Josh Duggar incident, his sister Jessa came out publicly yesterday in defense of her brother. Essentially, Josh touched his sisters and his babysitter over their clothes while they were sleeping. No one is defending his behavior – not the people involved, not the right wing media, not the Duggar family, and not Josh Duggar himself. And yet, as a consequence for this witch hunt, he was forced to resign from his job at the Family Research Council and TLC pulled the family's show off of the air. This isn't a new challenge for the 10 season show. Last November (incidentally around the time of Lena Dunham's kiddy diddling announcement) thousands of
gay rights activists cat ladies petitioned to have 19 Kids and Counting taken off the air because shocker, the conservative Christian family doesn't support butt sex. And of course the peanut gallery clamors for the family's moral values to be undermined in any way for entertainment value, and to validate their own hedonist desires. One blogger noted on Jinger Duggar's recent trip away from the famly, “She reflected that she was so used to seeing her parents all the time that “realizing that they weren’t there and I was the only one here, made me miss them.” LIES.”
There's even a “Free Jinger” movement dedicated to turning her from her family and moral values and onto the path of standard liberal shit tier status. We shouldn't be surprised to learn that the man who uncovered this 10 year old case of a minor who was never charged was a fag journalist from a shitty celebrity gossip magazine.
We all know that the media in general has it out for anything that challenges the great god of leftism, Dildolech. The Lena Dunhams of the world get a pass, while even innocents like Jinger Duggar are targeted because of their beliefs. This is nothing new. In 1977, director and writer Roman Polanski was charged with five different felonies for drugging and raping a 13 year old girl. According to the victim, Samantha Gailey, Polanski wanted to shoot her photos for French Vogue, but didn't allow her mother to accompany her. At the shoot, he drugged her glass of champagne, and raped her in Jack Nicholson's Hollywood home. He pled this down with a guilty plea, but then fled the country to France to avoid jail time. In 1979, the Academy nominated him for an Oscar.
For conservatives and Christians, there can be no forgiveness. For Jews, faggots, and rapists, there can be no wrongdoing.
